Stylized water material, built live from a single prompt

> make a stylized water material with waves, foam, etc. add all the parameters properly, color and scalar parameters with proper clamps and a category for wave amplitude. use raw Unreal nodes with our CodeFizz editor agent, use the cfa CLI for this, and make it in /Game/_CFADemo with proper WPO and all.

What it does

Every UE editor surface, exposed.

One TCP bridge. Two hundred commands. Every system your AI workflow needs to actually build games in Unreal, not just spawn cubes.

Blueprint graph control

Create, mutate, and inspect Blueprint graphs, variables, functions, and component layouts from any MCP client.

Materials & function graphs

Build full Material node graphs, validate connections, manage instances, and trace shader expressions.

Deep Niagara automation

Emitters, modules, scratch pad, simulation stages, renderers, custom HLSL: full FX pipeline control.

PCG & runtime generation

Component lifecycle, partition inspection, scheduling, execution introspection, runtime gen refresh.

StateTree editor automation

States, transitions, evaluators, conditions, bindings, global tasks: author StateTree assets from prompts.

Insights performance analysis

Capture and analyze .utrace files with auto-categorization, hot path detection, and frame diffing.

Data assets & data tables

Create, query, and update Data Assets and Data Tables with full reflection over struct rows.

Console + Python bridge

Execute UE console commands with structured log capture, or drop into the Python interpreter for custom scripts.

How it works

Install. Connect. Build.

No SDK. No scripting. No bouncing between windows. Three steps from zero to AI driving your editor.

  1. STEP 01

    Drop in the plugin

Unzip into your project's Plugins folder. Open the editor. Plugin loads as a CodeFizz module.

  2. STEP 02

    Point your AI client

Configure Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client to connect via the local TCP bridge.

  3. STEP 03

    Build inside Unreal

Prompt your AI. It calls into the editor: Blueprints, Materials, Niagara, PCG, StateTree. Real.

Both tiers fund a one-developer project, so subscribing is what keeps the updates coming. If you ever cancel, your license keeps working and the plugin you already have keeps running. You just stop getting new updates. Honest customers are never cut off. The only time a key is ever turned off is if it gets shared publicly for anyone to grab.

FAQ

Yes. You can start a free 3-day trial from your account at codefizz.dev/account, with no credit card required. It unlocks the full Pro plugin for UE 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 on one machine so you can try the real workflow. When the trial ends, the plugin and CLI pause until you subscribe; if you upgrade, the same key is promoted in place to a paid key with five machine seats, so nothing to re-enter. There is also a separate free, open-source community edition (Unreal MCP) linked in the footer if you just want the basics for free forever.

UE 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 on Win64. Each release ships as a separate binary plugin matched to the engine ABI, and the cfa CLI downloads the build that matches the engine you point it at. Future engine versions are added as they release.

Right now, Windows 64-bit only. The plugin is built and tested on Windows for this first release. Linux and Mac support are on the roadmap and will be added when there is clear demand from paying customers. I would rather wait until I can properly test those builds end to end than ship binaries I have not run myself. If you are on Mac or Linux and would buy the plugin today, drop a note in Discord or send me an email. That is how the priority for adding those platforms gets set.

You activate from the CLI with your CodeFizz website account, not by pasting a key into Unreal. Install or update the free cfa CLI, then run cfa login. It opens your browser so you sign in with the same account (Google, GitHub, Discord, or email). That machine is activated and the editor plugin reads the same sign in. Offline grace still applies. A license key still exists under License and billing for older cfa builds and recovery (cfa login --key), but new setups should use browser login only.

Everything goes through the free cfa CLI. Create or sign in at codefizz.dev/account (Google, GitHub, Discord, or email). Start a trial or subscribe. Install cfa with PowerShell (recommended: irm https://codefizz.dev/install.ps1 | iex) or npm install -g codefizz-editor-agent. Run cfa login so your browser authorizes this machine with that account. Then cfa install-plugin with a path to your engine or project, for example cfa install-plugin "E:/Unreal/UE_5.8". The editor plugin shows Active with nothing to paste. The in editor panel is read only: status plus Refresh.

Your paid license works on up to 5 of your own machines, which is plenty for a desktop, a laptop, and then some. You will almost certainly never reach it. The limit is there to stop a license being shared publicly, because paid seats keep this one developer project alive. Manage seats from the CLI: cfa logout frees this machine, and cfa deactivate-all frees every machine at once. Signing in again on the same machine never uses a second seat. If something leaked, regenerate the legacy key on the account page or email contact@codefizz.dev, then run cfa login again on each machine.

Each command talks to exactly one editor. Run cfa list_editors to see every running editor with its project, engine, port, and process id, then cfa connect <project> to choose one for the commands that follow. The choice is saved, so it carries across separate terminals. If the choice is ambiguous, the CLI refuses and lists the editors instead of editing the wrong project. With a single editor open, or when your terminal is inside the project folder, it routes automatically. cfa health_check also reports which editor it reached so you can confirm.

Any MCP-compatible client. The plugin exposes a TCP bridge and the Go CLI ships separately, so Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini, and other MCP hosts all work out of the box.

Yes. Open your account at codefizz.dev/account and click Manage billing to open the Polar billing portal, then cancel in one click. You keep access through the end of your billing period and stop being charged afterward.

You keep the version you installed and it keeps working. Your license stays valid after you cancel, so the plugin does not switch off. You stop receiving new releases and you lose access to the private Discord and roadmap. The plugin you paid for is yours to keep.

No refunds on subscriptions, since the plugin is downloadable software you get immediately. You can cancel any time and keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for. If you ran into a real bug or a feature you reasonably expected to be there, email me and we will figure it out. Full policy on the Refund Policy page in the footer.

Patron is for people who want to influence the direction of CodeFizz Editor Agent, with voting, a private roadmap, priority answers, and direct input on new APIs. If you just need the plugin and updates, stay on Pro.

Yes. There is a free, open-source community edition (Unreal MCP) that gives you the core bridge and a basic command set, which is great for trying the workflow. The paid Pro edition is the fully maintained build with the complete toolset (Niagara, PCG, StateTree, Insights, and more), regular updates, and support. The open-source edition is linked in the footer.

For studios needing multiple seats, an enterprise tier is available off-platform. Contact directly for pricing.

Stop bouncing between AI and Unreal.

Drop the plugin into your project, point your MCP client at it, and let your AI actually build inside the editor.
