Privacy Policy

CodeFizz Editor Agent is built and run by Aadesh Yadav, a solo developer trading as CodeFizz. When this policy says I or me, that is who you are dealing with. You can reach me any time at the email at the bottom of this page.

Your email address, which you give to the payment processor when you check out. Your Discord username and account id, but only if you choose to join the community server so the right role can be assigned to you. The account and license that are generated for your subscription. That is the whole list. I do not ask for your name, address, or phone number, and I never see or store your card details.

The plugin needs to confirm your license is genuine. After you activate this machine with the cfa CLI (cfa login, which uses your CodeFizz account), the plugin and CLI send a short-lived license check to my validation server on first activation and on an occasional re-check after that. That is the only license-related data they send. They do not collect or transmit your project files, your work, or any usage data beyond optional CLI command telemetry described below. After a successful activation the plugin keeps working offline for a long grace period, so a dropped connection or a firewall never locks you out of the editor.

The command line tool (the cfa program that AI assistants drive) sends a small amount of usage data so I can see how the tool is used and make it better: which command ran, which assistant called it (for example Claude or Codex), whether it ran over MCP or directly, how long it took, and whether it succeeded. These events are tied to your license, so they are linked to your account rather than anonymous. They never include your prompts, your project files, your work, or any file paths or contents. You can turn this off completely by setting the CFA_NO_TELEMETRY or DO_NOT_TRACK environment variable, and the tool keeps working exactly the same.

This website uses privacy-friendly analytics so I can see which pages and features are useful and improve them. PostHog records anonymised usage such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, which FAQ entries are opened, and how long a visit lasts. Vercel records aggregate traffic and performance. None of this is sold or shared with advertisers, and it is separate from the plugin, which sends no usage data at all. If you accept the cookie banner, PostHog uses cookies for detailed analytics. If you decline, PostHog runs in cookieless mode: it counts the visit anonymously using a privacy-preserving server-side hash, with no cookies or other storage placed on your device and no cross-session identity. Vercel analytics is cookieless and always aggregate. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as the Merchant of Record. Polar takes your card details, charges you, handles taxes, and sends your receipt. Your card number and billing information live with Polar and their payment partners, not with me. Polar has its own privacy policy that covers how they handle that data.

The email is so the payment processor can send your download link, license key, and receipts, and so I can reach you about your subscription or a support issue. The Discord id is so the bot can grant and later remove the correct role. The license key is checked when you activate the plugin and stored so your activation keeps working, and so a key that turns up shared publicly can be turned off. I use this information to run the product and for nothing else.

A small number of services help run CodeFizz. Polar handles billing, file delivery, license keys, and the emails that go with them. Discord hosts the community server and the access roles. Vercel and Cloudflare host the website and the small services that keep the public roadmap in sync and that validate license keys. Each of these only receives the data it needs to do its job, and I do not share your information with anyone for advertising.

This website does not use advertising cookies or cross site trackers. I do not run analytics that profile you across the web. The hosting providers keep basic server logs, such as the rough region a request came from, to keep the site secure and online. That is standard for any website and is not tied to your identity.

I keep your account information for as long as you have an active subscription, and for a short period after you cancel in case you come back or need support. Polar keeps billing and invoice records for as long as the law requires them to. If you want your details removed sooner, just ask.

You can ask to see what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the EU or the UK these rights are written into law under the GDPR, and if you are in California you have similar rights under the CCPA. You do not need to live in those places to ask, though. Email me and I will sort it out, usually within a few days.

CodeFizz Editor Agent is a professional tool for game developers and is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has signed up, let me know and I will remove the account.

If I change how any of this works I will update this page and move the date at the top. If a change is significant and you are a subscriber, I will also let you know through Discord or email rather than expecting you to notice on your own.
